CareerSource Heartland Joins Partners in Celebrating First Anniversary
of Award-Winning Unified Workforce Brand
CareerSource Heartland joins the entire CareerSource Florida network in celebrating the anniversary of the launch of a unified brand. One year ago today, on February 10, 2014, Florida became the first state in the nation to achieve aligned brands for its state board, 24 regional workforce development boards, and nearly 100 career centers.
“Rebranding our organization meant much more than a new name and logo. As part of the CareerSource Florida network, we are now recognizable throughout our region, the State, and the Nation, as an organization designed to connect employers with the talent they need, and job-seekers with employment and career development opportunities” states Donna Doubleday, CareerSource Heartland President/CEO.
CareerSource Heartland (CSH) is a leader in the CareerSource Florida network serving DeSoto, Hardee, and Highlands counties. During fiscal year 2013-14, CSH served nearly 12,000 job seekers and nearly 1,400 businesses.
Statewide during 2013-14, the CareerSource network served more than 101,300 businesses and nearly 489,700 job seekers who successfully secured employment. About 30,000 of these men and women are military veterans.
“Our network of workforce professionals is committed to continuous improvement in our collective efforts to establish Florida as the global leader for talent,” said CareerSource Florida President/CEO Chris Hart IV. “Early indications are that our statewide rebranding as the CareerSource Florida network is helping businesses and job seekers find us and connect with opportunities.”
The statewide branding effort was recognized in September as the year’s top workforce initiative by the National Association of State Workforce Agencies. Florida was awarded the 2014 State Excellence Award for Leadership for service and performance improvements facilitated by the rebranding.
